James Gunn Gives a Sneak Peek into ‘Superman: Legacy’ Storyboard, Superhero Costume and Score

James Gunn, the co-head of DC Studios and the director of the upcoming superhero film Superman: Legacy, recently shared some insight into the film’s creative planning and details.

He took to to post a storyboard shot, indicating excitement for the project and clearly wanting to tease his audience.

From a marketing perspective, this gives an organic way of creating the buzz for the film already.

In the caption, he wrote, “Spoiler??!! Well, probably not…I’m constantly drawing Superman Legacy shots and storyboards all over everything. Here’s one I just sent to my department heads to understand how tight a shot was going to be we had been discussing.”

Gun even explained it to the fans when asked by one about what was happening in the image, he replied “The camera is back with the character. For me, the full arrows are camera movement, and the thin arrows are a subject movement.

Superman’s Cast

Finally the Hollywood’s writer’s strike ending, the cast of the superhero movie, Superman is all set to get back to work and resume shooting. Although the sneak peek might have been going on, the film’s overall plot is still a secret to the audience.

The only available news was the lead cast will be David Corenswet as the superhero cast with Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, and Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen. The characters of Metamorpho, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, will be played by Anthony Carrigan, Isabel Merced, and Nathan Fillion respectively.

Superman’s Music Score

While the plot might still be under wrap, James Gun gave details about the movie’s music score and the Superhero’s costume current scenario.

He took to again and posted, “The costume is mostly done but we’re still going back and forth on some elements…Many of the score – maybe even most of the major themes – have already been written.”

“I have to check,” he said. “(And yes I know that sounds crazy since so much of the score has been written, but when you’re riding the waves of inspiration, what are you going to do? I wrote most of Peacemaker and all of Creature Commandos before I had a closed deal!)
