GUIDES & RESEARCH
How to use part numbers and references.
A part number can narrow the search, but it should be checked together with the vehicle, installation position and visible product details.
REFERENCE TYPES
Know what kind of number you have.
DriveForge SKU
Use the product SKU to identify a specific catalog item on this site.
Supplier Reference
Supplier or manufacturer references can help cross-check the product specification.
Existing Part Number
The number on the removed part is useful evidence, but vehicle configuration still matters.
CROSS-CHECK
Use the number as one signal, not the only signal.
Compare the reference with the product title, photos, measurements, mounting points and the vehicle details before checkout.
When references conflict
Do not force a match because one number looks similar.
Check superseded or alternate references carefully.
Use clear photos and measurements when the product family has multiple versions.
Ask support when the reference is incomplete or ambiguous.
